Very high quality, replaces old clogged one, new one flows freely. Use a proper sized wrench to remove old, and bed the new with fuel resistant sealant, but one that you can remove again in 5 years. Dont over torque re-install.

When I received my package that was shipped via USPS, it had been ripped wide open and the contents were gone. I called aircraft spruce, and they were above and beyond helpful, they sent out a new order immediately an filed a claim with the post office. With this level of service, I will always do my business with this company.

This is a replacement part. It performs the way it is supposed to. I am happy with it.

Nice replacement product. It fixed my leaky right wing and is saving me money since fuel is staying IN the tank. It was very easy to install.

The valve itself is great quality. BUT, the reason I purchased them was because of the failure of the seal, which according to information available, the seal/packing is not available for replacement I did use either an MS 29513-006 or -007 to test. Although it fit, and did not leak, since it was not called out as a replacement I opted to purchase new replacement Curtis valves CCA1550 & CAA 1600 for my Tri Pacer.

Works great. It is a good idea to change these out every few years. I used the Ez Turn Lubricant as a sealer and it worked great. Be careful not to tighten them too much as the valve will become stuck.

Perfect fit and function. It is very difficult to get these things lined up to go into the wing, especially if gas is coming out while you are trying to put it in. Completely drain the tank or prepare to be gased.

Standard part and arrived quickly

As another Dave said these things are just part of flying a plane. I keep 2 spares in my plane as it doesn’t take much for them to start leaking. I would advise carrying vise grips as wrench’s will strip that brass fitting.

These drain valves have been around for decades, so you would think the engineering is perfected. We replaced these not that long ago, and it wasnt long before they started dripping sporadically. I know that can be caused by faulty O rings or a speck of foreign matter in the fuel. Anyway, I hope these last longer.

First one installed leaked. Had to cycle valve several times to get proper seating and seal. I am not confident in this product.

CCA-1550 often develops slow leaks dripping on the retractable Pa28r-200 tires despite the fuel ALWAYS showing that its pristine clean on testing.

Too much money with shipping this little valve was almost $30

purchased two new less than a year ago. aircraft hangered and now they leak. not bad but leave stain and is getting worst.

After just a few months the valve is already leaking. It’s leaking about a drop every 24 hours. I’ve had good success with these valves in the past. May be a manufacturing defect.

replaced both tanks. 6 months later, both are leaking drops. This was a direct replacement on 50 yr old piper part, so not sure what happened to their quality.
