Forged Jaws and Refined Tips for Strength and Control Angled for Control The tips are angled to securely hold the ring with a downward pressure, preventing the ring from slipping off.  Hardened for Strength The tips and jaws are made from two different materials, each optimized for its function. Hardened bearing steel is used for the tips to enhance shear strength.  Crimped-In Cylindrical Tips The tips are smooth, straight, and free of burrs to create a consistent, controlled grip on the ring. A crimp at the end of each jaw permanently holds the tips in place.  Uncompromised Design for a Single Purpose These pliers are built for a single, dedicated purpose. By keeping things simple and free of unnecessary features, they remain lean and optimized for the job. Just grab them and go—no adjustments, loose parts, or compromises.  Secure Hold for Reduced Twisting The combination of the outward angled tips and the flat surface at the base of the tips creates a very secure hold on the ring which reduces twisting and the risk of slipping off. Long, Slim Jaws for More Access The long, slim jaws and compact joint allow you to reach deep into a cavity or bore.  Spring-Loaded, Bolted Joint The two forged handles are permanently bolted together and spring-loaded. The spring is oiled and housed inside the joint, keeping it hidden and protected while providing smooth, quiet operation. Note: The joint is not adjustable or serviceable.  Broad, Comfortable Handles The forged handles get wider in the center and are coated with vinyl grips to improve control and comfort.  Clear Markings The tip size and function are clearly laser-marked on the pliers for quick reference.  Parts and Materials A. Tips Made of E52100 bearing steel hardened to 47–53 HRC with nickel plating. B. Jaws Made of 1045 steel hardened to 37–43 HRC with black oxide finish and a light coating of rust inhibitor. C. Pivot Screw Made of 1015 steel with nickel plating. Non-removable. D. Handle Grips Made of single-layer vinyl. E. Internal Spring Made of 1065 spring steel. Oiled.  |
