Dragger arrived unassembled and without instructions. I had to call the company to figure out to set it up. As far as use, it definitely helps move the airplane. You have to side it around the tailwheel, then pick up the wheel with the dragger. You can then use the dragger to push or pull the aircraft. The ergonomics are a little weird, but I am going to change up the handle position and see if that helps. It will be useful and Id buy it again. C-170 w/ Scott3200 TW.

Purchased to use with an RV-4. My tailwheel has a single side arm, so not compatible with a Bogi Bar type. Clearance under the tail is fine with wheels big enough to clear most ground types and the unit is well built. Works great if I am pulling the tail of the airplane because of the large back plate which the tail wheel sits against. However, when I need to push the tail, the load is now placed onto a pin and the wheel tends to jump out, especially if I am trying to turn at the same time. I have adjusted the pin but IMHO, it still doesnt hold the wheel securely enough when pushing. Not so much a complaint, it is just a physical limitation. My tailwheel is a 6 solid rubber design, so I am sure a larger pneumatic tailwheel would get better results. Maybe I will put a small cargo strap on it. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 .

Perfect for my Taylorcraft. So easy now to back it in the hangar that I feel guilt. My apron is busted up so I had to replace the solid wheels with pneumatic tires--huge difference. For that, and the cost, it only gets four stars.

I used to have one of this for my Christen Eagle. Compared to the one I had (bought in 2010), this one features 1 improvement and 1 issue - Improvement: the number of holes to set the pins has been increased and therefore it will fit pretty much every tail wheel size (in the old one, I had to drill a hole to have the right position for the pin, for the aviation prod. tail wheel) - The plate attached at the wheel axis is to wide and will touch the ground, while towing my plane (zlin 50 with russian tailwheel, same as SUK). Suggestion: I installed the handle as it is shown in the figure but I will rotate it 180 deg, basically with the U facing the ground and not the sky (as the picture is showing). In my opinion it will help.

Easy assembly and does the job for my RV-8. I had one of these before using it for an RV-6. I think the design must have changed a little bit because the solid plate at the bottom now occasionally scrapes over the ground if there is a slight undulation and I dont lift the handle high enough. I included the 3rd RV pin with the order but I really dont see why that is necessary. I dont use it and I dont see how it could make it better

4 Stars because I havent used it yet. Plane is in the Avionics Shop getting a Garmin GTX 335, AOA and a back up VOR installed. Recommended to me by the Ferry Pilot, he has two taildraggers. Easy to assemble, sturdy, large wheels to get over hanger door tracks, and been around for years.

The 8” tires that come with this are too small. They allow the bar to touch the ground and get scratched on the concrete. Maybe this is acceptable if your tailwheel is low to the ground but a trip to the hardware store and 10” tires make this a 5 star product. Works great on my Champ and doesn’t scratch my hangar floor!

Simple piece, well built and sturdy. As is, the tow bar would probably work fine on a perfectly smooth floor.. but in my case the wheels were too small to get the tailwheel of my Cub over the hangar door tracks. The cradle would bottom out and hit the tracks as I was pulling the plane out of the hangar. The solution was to modify it by replacing the wheels with larger wheels... any hardware/tool supply store will have larger wheels that swap out easily. After modifying the tow bar, now it works great.

I had this same model several years ago and really liked it. My new one not so much. Not sure what changed, although I have a few guesses, but, the frame of the tow bar hits ground very easily. Can’t pull it over a small change in concrete hight without the Towbar bottoming out. I have to lift the Towbar up much higher than the old one to get the tailwheel off the ground. I’m 6’ tall and it’s not a comfortable hight to lift to just to get the wheel off the ground. When I go to put it on my Cub, the frame slides on the ground. When not in use, the Towbar rests on the length of the frame. My old one rested on both wheels and one spot on the frame closer to the handles.

I have been using this device for several years. It does not scoop up the tail wheel as I was led to believe. I have to lift the tail and drop the wheel onto the dragger. Afer that, it is easy to pull the plane back into the parking spot.

Its ok, I dont recommend this towbar! Theres a tab underneath which drags on the the ground unless you lift the bar kinda high! Its hard sliding/positioning it under the tailwheel with that tab scraping on the ground!

Didnt last long before needs welding - used with my super cub. If turning sharply, tailwheel can easily fall out.

Doesn’t work as well as I had hoped. With bushwheels and a t3 it’s difficult to push the plane around. Should have bought the bogie bar instead, they pack up small, are easier to connect, and better to push the plane around with.

Poor quality as compared to the older model I already own. The squared frame at the bottom end constantly drags on the ground where the old model used a bent tube at the bottom so it wouldnt drag. As mentioned by others, the pins drag on the floor causing the hair pins to fall out. It only came with one of the hair pins, so was missing the second pin. Fortunately I had a kit of hair pins in the hangar. The wheels are too big to readily roll under the low tail of a RV, so it takes a bit of maneuvering to get it in place. Its a shame to see a vendor redesign a product only to make it less usable.

I can make it work, but sometimes it just isn’t worth the bother. Difficult to maneuver to get wheel on it move too fast and the wheel pops out almost impossible to use on grass and frequently pops the wheel out crossing the threshold of the hangar. Very disappointing!!

Didnt fit my tailwheel well at all. My patio hangar floor is unimproved and the tailwheel keeps slipping out of the guides. Since my floor is not paved, the wheels are not wide enough and tend to sink in the ground. I can modify it to make it work, but I am not happy with it. Plus, it would be better if you pushed down to lift the tailwheel instead of lifting up....

Lift pins do not adjust to right width to pull solid tire type tail wheels. Wheels are small The original unit was a great unit that had a hitch so it could be hooked to a tow vehicle. Better than nothing

I wanted to like this product but I think its really only geared for lightweight taildraggers. First time I used it it was no easier than standard (and 4x cheaper) tow bar. Furthermore, the wheels barely slid under the fuselage and the dragger scratched the epoxy off my hangar floor. Would probably work fine with vans and rans and Kitfox type aircraft but with 180, Maule, etc. Id reconsider or do your own homework before purchasing it.

Terrible design. Our original taildragger dragger worked great. This one was basically unusable on our SeaRey and Decathlon. The forward angle drags on the smallest bump and the handles are too high even though I’m over 6’. They should have kept the original design.

Will not tow my Cub easily. I have to pick up tail and drop it on the dragger. If I maneuver the dragger around the tailwheel the cotter pins rub the ground and pop out. Always fiddling with the dragger to make it comply. It’s a pain and I’m very dissatisfied with it.

Disappointed that 1) wheel size is less than the one I ordered several years ago, 2) the pins have no tabs or heads to catch the tire during rotation to unlock the tailwheel from trailing to free castering, and 3) the metal plate on either side of the handle is too long and scrapes the floor when lowering the handle to get under the fuselage! Other than that it works. Almost ready to ship it back but I need this second one as now hangaring two taildraggers.
