Overview

As pilots know, not just any charger will work in an airplane. MYGOFLIGHT developed the first charger for use in aviation that was incredibly successful. To raise the bar, we have now created the Dual Digital with a display that shows volts in and amps drawn by each port. No guessing! Further, it supports USB A & USB C and carries 36W of quick charging power - enough to charge the iPad 11 while in use!

Accessory socket is required, may not fit older cigarette lighter only ports/receptacle.

Q: Will the USB put out 2.1 and 2.4 amps regardless whether the input voltage is at 12V or 35V?

Yes, the Dual Micro USB charger does put out those amps at all times.

Q: What is the rated output of this Mygoflight dual micro charger?

The output is 2.1 amps.

Q: If I use this on a 24v system does it step down the voltage from 24v to 12v or does it retain the 24v output? Need to know if I need a 24v to 12v down-step converter or not.

This unit has a 12-28vdc input and 5vdc 2a output thru the USB ports. No voltage converters required.

Q: Is this Mygoflight Dual Micro Charger FAA Approved?

No, this charger is not FAA Approved. It is considered an accessory since it is not hard wired to the aircraft. It would be similar to using the cigarette plug to charge your GPS, ie Garmin Aera 796. The cigarette jack itself that is hardwired to the aircraft would require a TSO for certified install, but what is plugged into the port does not.

Q: Will this charger support an iPhone 11 plugged into the top port and an iPad mini 6 plugged into the bottom port at the same time?

Yes, both the USB-A, and USB-C ports can be used at the same time.

Q: The description states it may NOT fit older style lighter accessory sockets Can you provide measurements for confirmation of physical size please?

The charger is 2.5" long, the part that would go in the lighter is approx 1.5".

Q: Will this charge and iphone 8 and a sentry at the same time not just maintain it?

Yes, this is made to charge and run multiple devices.

Q: Does this work with the Lonestar cigarette lighter receptacle that is TSOd?

Yes this should work with any standard cigarette receptacle.
