Five stars for now, because I cant just offer a comment without a rating: the one I received on 7/3/2023 appears different from what was shipped in the past, and different from the photo. The one I received is satin-finished, 1-1/8 outside diameter (so thinner-walled than some purchasers described) and it does include a magnet inside the well, which reduces the inside depth to barely 2-3/8. Havent tried using it yet to determine if that affects its fit on Tempest or Champion plugs. Five stars for now, because I cant just offer a comment without a rating.

Perfect fit for removing spark plugs. Total contact with the base and thin walled to clear the chamber walls.

Works as you would expect, not clear it is any better than a Craftsman thin wall deep socket. The Champion socket works better at retaining the plug.

As others have stated this socket has thick walls. I choose it because I needed the shortest overall socket length possible due to restricted space (engine baffling). It did hit the cylinder head cooling fins before bottoming out. I assumed I would have to lathe down the O.D., which I did. After reducing the O.D. it works fine.

It works fine when used with Champion spark plugs. But, it isn't as thin-walled as the Champion plug socket - and therefore every once in awhile it won't quite fit when removing or installing Tempest spark plugs. This happened on Continental TSIO-360 and GTSIO-520 engines, where on two or three plugs the socket was simply too fat to fit past fuel injection hardware or, in some cases - past the spark plug relief cut. A little judicious grinding solved the problem, but now the pretty chrome finish is toast.

Too thick. Can’t use on my Lycoming IO-360

This was initially was described on their website as 1.5 diameter. After bringing this problem to Aircraftspruces attention they changed the diameter to 1.25 (And said that customers simply have to see if the socket fits their requirements??!!) In order for an extended socket to fit into the sparkplug well of some Lycoming 0-360 engines the diameter has to be 1.18 (1 11/64) or less. This socket will not work unless it is modified to that diameter. Buyer beware !!!

Walls are too thick making it useless for bottom plugs on my IO540. It’s deep enough for the tempest fine wire but the walls won’t allow it to get past the spark plug relief cut into the cylinder. Since this is billed as an aviation spark plug, 1 Star. Otherwise it’s a good deep wall socket.

barely worked with tempest plugs in io360. NOT as thin walled as my IAs. Going to get one like his and return this one.

As mentioned by another reviewer, the walls are very thick. I didnt have time to return the socket so had to grind the walls thinner to make it fit in a Lycoming IO360-A1A.

It didn’t fit on the lower plugs of my O235. The OD of the socket is 1.25” and a regular 7/8” is 1.16”. Used a regular 7/8” deep socket. Kind of annoying since I waited for this to do the job.

This socket does not work with Tempest fine wire spark plugs. It works just great with Champion. I'll be returning this socket, since I have Tempest. The walls of the socket are too thick to fit for tightening the plug.
