Whelen said my completely dead strobes were due to a shorted tube. They walked me threw diagnosis. Sure enough, this strobe tube solved the problem and restored operation! This is one of the least expensive airplane fixes Ive had. A/S had it in stock and I was good to go in a couple days.

Easy modular design. Realized I needed a simple tool to compress the wire connection leads so I could feed it thru the wing tip assembly. Once I borrowed that tool, installation was easy. Nice and bright, again.

Whelen strobes are always top drawer. Regretfully this order was processed under the wrong # and I was unable to use it on my application.

The A 610 assembly comes with the plug attached. When looking at the diagram the plug has a separate part number and leads one to falsely believe it must be ordered separately. It arrived quickly using the least expensive shipping method.

The position light on our DA 40 was replaced with a cheaper bulb earlier this year and fitting it into the socket was difficult for some reason. It took multiple tries to finally get the bulb to light up. Its just a bulb, right? Well, a few months later the cheaper bulb burned out. So we bit the bullet and bought this one. The bulb went right into the socket, as it should. And it worked the first time. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was the outrageous price.

Part is correct but picture when placing order is wrong. Confusing, should be able to do better on a $89 part

Exact replacement. Be careful ordering to get the correct one. The A version and the B version are different.

I ordered the A626, got the one with the strobe lens inserted, glued in place. (626D) It seems nice but does not match the A610 mechanism I already had so sent it back.It is oval rather than teardrop like the one I had. I also ordered a W 1290 bulb which arrived in a flimsy cardboard box and smashed by the heavier objects in the carton. Spruce replaced this quickly but it should have been packed better or separate from the Claw tie downs.

Price of the light more than doubled since the 2018-2019 catalog. Seems unreasonable. Light was previously offered with or without the connector. Currently only offered with the connector, which I immediately discarded. Light works as advertised. Just very disappointed about the increase in the price.

This nylon ring gets a star because it fits.....it will probably break off like the last one & well lose another flashing beacon lens. The old metal clamps dont fit the new slightly thicker lenses, so I guess were stuck with these. Dont over tighten this part!
