The compact SilverFlite SF401 is the very definition of a high-value alternator, bringing together modest weight, advanced design, and simplicity of installation. Supplying 40A output @ cruise RPM, this alternator features built-in regulation and built-in Dynamic Over-Voltage Protection — a B&C exclusive. As with every belt-drive SilverFlite alternator, it also includes standard rotor balance, sealed ball bearings, and three integrated attachment points for stability of mounting. Only two wires are needed for the installation — one for the alternator output, and the other for the control (enable) circuit. Add circuit protection for each wire and a basic OFF-ON switch, and the electrical work is complete. The SF401 is intended for Homebuilt aircraft with 14V electrical systems and Boss-mount (typically Wide-Deck) engine cases. Supplied with a mounting bracket, pre-wired field connector assembly, belt tension arm, high-performance belt, and attachment hardware. |
