This is the second time Ive bought this. The last one lasted over seven years with four years in direct sunlight (I had it tied-down). Im very pleased with the durability of this seal. The self-adhesive rubber seal is a good balance of bonding - it is a strong bond, but you can still lift and reposition it during installation without damage. The kit is complete with a small tube of Krazy glue (to glue the two ends of the rubber seal together) and a small tube of lubricant to lube the surface of the seal and improve its operation. NOTE: The instructions say to make ends of the seal join up at the bottom (this is how I did it 7 years ago). But over time I saw water could follow the join point and potentially drip to the inside. This time, I made the join at the top, so that when the window is closed there is absolutely no way water can rest against the join, preventing any potential for that occasional drip.
